Currently, home owners and facility owners only receive a monthly bill detailing their power consumption. We seek to develop a mobile application that will allow users to manage their power consumption at a more fine-grained level. We will take advantage of usage information provided by smart appliances and meters, and real-time pricing information that will be provided by the future "smart grid in the future" infrastructure. We will display this information in a way that makes it easy for users to make decisions about their power usage. Overall, we aim to help users make their energy consumption more efficient and allow them to save money.
