Scenario

Background

This story involves Paul and Patrica the parents, their child Chuck, and Dan the day care worker, and Chuck the child.daycare worker.Dan already has his day care worker ChildFeed account set up, with Chuck’ Chuck is set up as one of the kids in his group. Similarly, Paul and his wife Patricia share a parent ChildFeed account set up as Chuck’s parents.

Paul and Patricia both have a full time jobs and need to drop Chuck off at daycare five times a week 6 hours a day. They both are glad that Chuck is making social interactions with other children his age in addition to being cared for, but they would like to get more up-to-date feedback on their child’s daily events. Furthermore, Paul and Patricia love statistics and are interested in analyzing Chuck’s daily information such as his eating habits, his nap schedule, and his temperament.

Basic Text Notification Share and Viewing

Paul drops off Chuck at 7:30am in the daycare and Dan signs Chuck in. Off at her job, Patricia checks their parental account through a browser from her work laptop and is notified that Paul dropped Chuck off at the day care and that Chuck is all checked in. Dan and his other workers then begin their daily schedule with Chuck and the other kids.

Media Notification Share and Viewing

It is the week before Thanksgiving and today the kids are going to be finger-painting turkeys. While painting Chuck starts scratching his face, which results in him getting covered in paint. Dan thinks that this is absolutely adorable and decides to take a picture with his Android tablet. He then immediately uses ChildFeed to share this picture with Paul and Patricia with a caption notifying them that he will get him clean soon. Patricia checks the account at work and is happily surprised to see this adorable picture of her child.

Food Logging, Viewing, and Analyzing

After playing outside for a while it is lunch time. After all of the children have finished eating, Dan and his coworkers go through the children in his ChildFeed app, logging what they all ate and how much they ate. Paul and Patrica notice that Chuck did not eat much today, and go back to check his eating history, and notice that he doesn’t eat very much whenever they serve macaroni and cheese. With this information, Patrica plans to tell Dan that it seems that Chuck does not like macaroni and cheese and that he should try to provide an alternative lunch for Chuck when serving macaroni and cheese.

Daily Report Logging and Viewing

After lunch, the kids play with Legos for a while and then it is time for a nap. Dan puts all of the kids to sleep and sits down and logs information about each child’s mood, temperament, overall energy, etc.
