He will be making many flashcards and would like to do so whenever he has free time, including while hitchhiking his way across South America, backpacking his way across Europe, or while on the express train to Beijing. They need to be relatively easy to make and since he will be learning several languages, he will have several decks, which need to be easy to organize and keep track of. In the end, he would also like to see whether learning certain languages are easier than others or whether certain families of languages (i.e. Germanic or Latin-based) become easier to learn.
To create these flashcards he then has the following three main tasks:
