ARCHITECTURE

LAMP - will use our house PHP/Zend stack.

COMPONENTS

Site in a Sitting creation/Edit wizard

The core of QuickPages is "Site in a Sitting", third party software written by DKS Interactive. DKSi also uses Site in a Sitting to power their web hosting service. We are the first customer to run Site in a Sitting on our own servers.

Templates

Site in a Sitting uses templates, a set of stylesheets that dictate the look and feel of a site. The templates produce HTML, and the HTML may be edited by the user as they wish.

A template usually has two page types, the front page and the content pages.  A template sets elements like:   a three-color color palette, number of columns on a page, location of banner graphic on the front page, and location of navigation menus.

It's easy to customize the look of a site within the template so they don't look cookie-cutter.  NorthEastern University has over 90 Site in a Sitting sites, with a variety of looks.

Site management page

LAMP

Moira groups
