If you are interested in contributing to the WIKI, this page will help you register for an account, obtain permission to edit, and get started editing.

1. Read the License Statement

Before making contributions to this WIKI, you should examine the license statement.

2. Register for an MIT Touchstone Account

In order to allow the site administrators to give you permission to edit the WIKI, you must have an individual MIT Touchstone account. Registration for MIT Touchstone accounts is freely available to anyone. Simply navigate to the MIT Touchstone registration page and follow the directions.

3. Log in to the WIKI using your Account

  • Once you have your touchstone account, come back to the WIKI and click on the Log In option at the top of any WIKI page.

  • Then, click on the GO TO TOUCHSTONE option.

  • Be sure to select "Touchstone Collaboration account" as your account provider.

  • Finally, provide your email and password. You should find yourself logged into the wiki with the name you have provided appearing in the upper right.

4. Request Editing Permission

After you have successfully logged in once, you can contact the site administrators by sending email to:

relate_wiki_admin@mit.edu

requesting editing permission. You will be contacted when permission is granted.

5. Log In and Edit!

  • Once you have been granted permission, you can log in using your MIT Touchstone account, and you should now see an "edit" tab on many of the wiki pages.

Note

Note that some pages like the homepage are "frozen", and so the edit tab will not appear. Try navigating to a vocabulary page or a worked example, and you should certainly see an edit tab if your permissions are properly set.
