We are using HTML, PHP, mySQL, CSS, and Javascript in Chrome for our computer prototype.

Our prototype can be accessed at the following link: http://mv.ezproxy.com.ezproxy.canberra.edu.au/6.813/

Our computer prototype has high fidelity with look and feel. The general layout is layout is presented as we imagined for our website, though we still may play around with fonts, color scheme, and our logo. We also realized from our first paper prototype that the name of our website contributes a lot to how users think about the functionality of our website. Thus, we are also still playing around with the name.

On the home page, when you click to create a group, a popup appears for the user to fill in the information for the group. Though actually creating the group is not functional yet, we want to see if the form in our prototype is intuitive to fill out for the user. After the group is made, you are taken directly to the new group you made. However, since this is not functional yet, we are currently taking users to the layout of a random group we have created with static content. Normally, you'd be taken to an empty group since the new group should not have any photos in it. We also display updates on the sidebar of the home page. We are using placeholder images for the pictures in the updates, though clicking on a photo still shows what our website is meant to do, allowing you to view the enlarged version of the photo. When a group is clicked on, the user enters a page that displays all the photos in that group and members in the group. Currently, the members being displayed are static content. The photos here are also placeholder images. However, our site does allow users to upload actual photos by dragging and dropping. Since this is one of the main features of our site, we wanted to have this implemented so we can have feedback on the usability and learnability. We just haven't yet implemented the display function for the actual pictures that are uploaded. Finally, by clicking on a photo, you can see the enlarged photo with static comments. You cannot add comments yet but we show how we would like it displayed. You can also scroll through photos with our existing prototype, or click on the icon at the bottom to see all the photos in the group.
