Problem Statement

When you're living with other people, paying bills can become complicated. If one roommate feels that they are paying for more than their other roommates, it can cause resentment in the household. Households generally want to make sure that

  • each roommate pays their share of the bills,
  • there is an up to date account on household expenses.

Even with the help of spreadsheets like Excel, the task of keeping an up to date count on who owes what and overall expenses can be difficult
