Jim instantiate to instantiate a new server of exiting Roles DB? Is it needed?
No, Vijay will create the new instance. When he runs into issues he will ask Jim. This will be installed on a VM on Vijay's workstation.
PowerBuilder Application will not be part of perMIT. There will be no work to make this application work with perMIT on the MySQL DB. (As long as it remains true that doing this is less work.) E.g. If we take PowerBuilder out, will we actually have more work to do? Nobody thinks so at this time.
Jim mentions that there are some stored procedures in Role that are there solely to support the PowerBuilder application.
Work item to determine the purpose of each stored procedure? Identify which systems are dependent on each stored procedure. (2 weeks).
Estimate of the stored procedures in Roles DB = maybe 100 to 200.
