Problem Statement
Currently, the ski school at Mad River Mountain has an application to schedule instructors' shifts, but the current application lacks much desired functionality, such as allowing schedules to be submitted online and changes to the schedule to be requested within the application.
Our Ski School Scheduler application will address shortcomings with the original system, as well as provide a way for the ski school to keep track of its instructors' activities. It will allow instructors to submit their own schedules and request changes to their schedules online but have time constraints as to when they are allowed to do so. Instructors will also have an easy way to view and print their schedules. In addition, it will track other important information on the instructors, such as their attendance and clinic hours. Part of the interface will also allow the ski school director to post announcements and links to external websites (without having to edit HTML code) directed towards instructors.
Our application must be able to be easily learned by those with limited computer experience, since the ski school instructors vary widely in age and familiarity with computers.
