Problem Statement
Currently, home owners and facility owners only receive a monthly bill detailing their power consumption. Now that more information is available from smart appliances and meters, we seek to allow users to manage their power consumption at a more fine-grained level. Additionally, in the future, the smart grid will provide real-time price information, which we can display to users to allow them to more efficiently schedule their power usage. Overall, we hope to help users make their energy consumption more efficient and allow them to save money.
