Overview
Project Pyralis was a bipropellant aerospike rocket engine developed by the team from 2013-2015. The engine burned nitrous oxide and ethanol and was equipped with a hydrogen-oxygen preburner. The program was terminated when the team lost access to testing facilities due to damage to the exhaust system in the blast chamber and an upcoming renovation of building 31.

Testing
The project eventually reached the testing phase and the engine was both flow tested and hot fired.
