Forces which can influence the motion of elementary particles (quarks and leptons). The only fundamental force which is studied directly in introductory mechanics is gravitation (universal).
The Fundamental Forces
At this time, four forces are given the status "fundamental". They are:
- Gravitation
- Electricty/magnetism
- Weak nuclear force
- Strong nuclear force
