Problem Statement

BACKGROUND:

"Midnights" are daily chores that the brothers of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity are assigned in order to keep the house clean. They include Kitchens, Pots, Dishes, Dinings, Commons, Bathrooms, and Waitings. Brothers earn points after completing midnights, which factor into an algorithm that determines their future midnights. The algorithm will assign Midnights more frequently to brothers with less points. Midnights for an entire week are posted on the Sunday of the previous week. If brothers are assigned Midnights that they cannot make due to other commitments, it is their responsibility to trade with other brothers. The lack of an open market for trading Midnights creates significant dead weight loss.
