With great power comes great responsibility. -Ben Parker
Ideas
These are just some brainstorms/ideas. Oliver is drafting an initial page to serve as a strawman for a "formal" roles/responsibilities/benefits document to share and develop with the ACCORDiacs group that everyone can buy into.
Two kinds of "membership"
- Partner members
- Contributing members
- Not necessarily an up-front committment, but "powers" or benefits based on contribution level
- Different expectations based on what you want to get out
- Contributing members might be expected to attend ACCORDiacs meetings and participate on the mailing list
- Partner members might be expected to also monitor an RT queue, engage in client interactions, participate in projects; perhaps on the order of 1 day of ACCORDiacs / month? More?
- Contributing members get meetings, food, knowledge sharing and maybe an annual conference a la IT Partners out of the deal
- Partner members get a formal acknowledgment/recommendation to use in their review, work sharing opportunities, more professional development opportunities, maybe even access to a small pool of seed or incubator money and resources?
