GR1 - Task analysis

User analysis

Our system is targeted toward the non-technical population with special emphasis on three user groups: students, businesspeople, and families.

Students:

Businesspeople:

Businesspeople have the unique need of blending their work lives with their personal lives.  Even if one does not use a work calendar for personal appointments, often

a user will want to schedule personal goals, events, or notes that are separate from business activities and should not be shared.

A woman I spoke to who uses Microsoft Outlook's calendar for work complained that she was unable to click on a particular day and type a personal reminder to herself.

She would like to be able to add notes in her application's calendar, just like as would jot down a note to herself in her physical calendar.  These notes should be separate

from the company calendar.
